Derek is an experienced general ophthalmologist with a special interest in Paediatric ophthalmology and strabismus. He has worked in Nelson and both Public and private since 1996. He currently works alongside Mary McPhie Orthoptist at Nelson Eye Specialists to provide;
- Paediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus assessment and surgery
- Ocular Motility and Strabismus assessment and surgery including post Head Injury.
A referral from an Optometrist or registered medical practitioner is preferred but not essential.
