Cataract and lens replacement surgery (clear lens exchange or refractive lens exchange), eyelid surgery including tumour excision and reconstruction, eyelid lifts (correctly termed: “ptosis surgery”) and the removal of excess eyelid skin (“blepharoplasty”).
Dr Rob Jones is a FRANZCO certified consultant eye surgeon and co-director of Nelson Eye Surgeons. He is a specialist cataract surgeon who is fully trained in modern ‘keyhole’ micro-incision cataract surgery (phacoemulsification) and the lens replacement procedure.
Dr Jones is also trained in eyelid surgery and takes pride in providing a bespoke and professional service in both public and private hospital settings. He is happy to see patients with cataract, eyelid, glaucoma or any other general ophthalmic condition where diagnosis, management or reassurance may be required.

A referral from an optometrist, optician or registered medical practitioner is preferred but not essential.
