Whilst Nelson Day Surgery is the only hospital to provide private eye surgery care in the top of the south we also provide a full day hospital service within a compassionate, friendly and caring environment.
We are located in the Health@132 Medical Campus, on the corner of Collingwood Street and Selwyn Place.

Clinical governance has been described as the framework in which excellent clinical care will flourish.
Clinical Governance is comprised of five elements:
- Patient Involvement;
- Clinical Audit;
- Risk Management;
- Staffing and Staff Management;
- Educating and Training.
The medical directors are supported by the Unit Manager and Theatre Manager who oversee the development of each of the five elements mentioned above.
We are also keen to ensure the voices of our patients are heard and carry out regular review of our patient feedback questionnaires.
